L'ultima partita del quinto turno di FA Cup si gioca al City Ground tra Nottingham Forest ed Ipswich Town, due squadre e società che stanno vivendo una stagione molto diversa. Il Nottingham è terzo e lotta per un posto in Champions, o perlomeno in Europa, mentre l'Ipswich terzultimo è a -5 dal Wolverhampton quartultimo.

Il Nottingham ha segnato ben 44 gol in Premier e nonostante l'ultimo 0-0 con l'Arsenal è una squadra che ha spesso fatto divertire negli ultimi mesi con il suo calcio primordiale e diretto. Ha vinto due volte la FA Cup, la prima addirittura a fine '800 e la seconda nel 1959.
