Continua il duello in testa alla classifica della Premier League tra Manchester City e Liverpool. I citizens sono primi con 80 punti, uno in più dei reds, arrivano dalla spettacolare vittoria sul Real Madrid in Champions League, ma non possono assolutamente tirare il fiato. La prossima gara sarà contro il ritrovato Leeds che dopo l'addio di Bielsa ha incamerato tre vittorie e due pareggi nelle ultime cinque volando a cinque lunghezze di distanza dalla terzultima piazza che vale la retrocessione. Le due squadre sono quindi in forma, ma ovviamente il Manchester City parte nettamente favorito e non si risparmierà anche se mercoledì sarà impegnato nella semfinale di ritorno di Champions. Guardiola forse farà ruotare qualche giocatore, ma la rosa è talmente ampia che difficilmente questa scelta avrà ripercussioni sul risultato.
