Il Manchester United è riuscito ad avere la meglio sul Milan ai rigori e a guadagnare i 2 punti. La squadra di Mourinho è lontanissima da quella titolare, viste le assenze degli inglesi, oltre a Pogba, Lukaku, De Gea, Valencia, Dalot, ecc... Proprio il terzino brasiliano e il trequartista Fred, proveniente dallo Shakhtar, sono i soli due acquisti finora per i Red Devils, per "soli" 81 milioni. Il Liverpool ha dimostrato di essere abbastanza in palla, sebbene più completo del Manchester City, battendolo per 2-1. Manco a farlo apposta l'ingresso di Salah ha cambiato una partita che ha visto tra i pali ancora Karius (in attesa di Alisson) e l'esordio di Fabinho e Naby Keita. Il fuoriclasse egiziano dovrebbe partire stavolta dal primo minuto con Manè e uno tra Sturridge e Solanke. Martial dovrebbe essere schierato come unica punta da Mourinho, supportato da Mata, Sanchez e Pereira.
