E'il momento della verità per il Leeds che dopo aver esonerato Bielsa aveva inanellato alcuni risultati utili consecutivi, un fuoco di paglia perché nelle utime tre giornate ha sempre perso con Chelsea, Arsenal e Manchester City. Le tre big hanno fatto ripiombare la squadra nell'incubo, ad oggi i padroni di casa hanno 34 punti come il Burnley e sono terzultimi. L'unico modo per provare a centrare la salvezza è vincere la prossima gara contro un Brighton che non ha più nulla da dire in classifica. Gli ospiti sono una delle sorprese di questa Premier League, dovevano lottare per non retrocedere e invece sono noni a 47 punti, salvi ormai da molte giornate. Nelle ultime gare hanno messo il punto esclamativo della stagione vincendo 4-0 contro il Manchester United e 3-0 con il Wolverhampton.
