Il Chelsea affronta il Leicester per proteggersi dall'assalto del Tottenham e del'Arsenal. La classifica dice blues terzi 70, spurs quarti a 68 e gunners quinti 66 con la squadra di Conte che ha una gara in più. Per conquistare un posto in Champions a Tuchel serve quindi ancora uan vittoria e contro il Leicester, ormai senza obiettivi, l'occasione è ghiotta. I londinesi hanno vinto  con il Leeds 3-0 nell'ultima gara di campionato, mettendo fine alla mini striscia negativa con un pareggo e una sconfitta, ma devono rialzarsi dopo il ko nella Finale di FA CUP con il Liverpool. Il Leicester arriva al match dopo le vittorie con Watford e Norwich, successi importanti ma che in classifica non possno portare ad un miglioramento della nona posizione, insomma non sarà facile ma il Chelsea parte comunque nettamente favorito per la vittoria finale, questione di motivazioni e di rosa.
